Directions:

Click at positions on the image where you wish to place a marker.  The x,y coordinates of the marker will automatically display.  Once you have placed all the markers in their desired locations copy the list of x,y coordinates by selecting the list (click and drag over the list) and then copy it (Right click and click on Copy in the pop-up menu.). Open NotePad and paste the list. Add the phrase markers= immediately in front of   1. xxx, yyy.  Save the the NotePad file with the file name markers.txt.  This file is now one of the text files needed for the  interactive teaching tool demonstrated in Identifying South American Countries and Human Heart: Information and Quiz 

This Flash MX program allows instructors to easily place markers at desired locations on any jpeg image and automatically generate the  x,y coordinates of these markers. This Flash MX program and the instructor's image (jpeg file format) must be placed in the same file folder before the program is run.
