There are several methods of creating survey tools for the web.  In this particular case, clicking the Submit/Results button sends your selection to an Active Server Page (ASP), located on the MINDdrops.com server, which updates the survey data by reading and writing to a text file. The updated data is then sent back to the Flash movie and the updated survey results are displayed. In this case the text file serves as a very simple, dynamic database.
